EDUCATION:

Mr. Ring received a Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, in Political Science from the University of California, Davis, in 1981. He attended law school at the University of California, Davis and graduated with his J.D. degree in 1984.

PROFESSIONAL:

Mr. Ring was admitted to the State Bar of California, the United States District Court, Eastern District, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court in 1984. He has been in active practice for over 23 years.  He has litigated and tried cases in both State, Federal and Bankruptcy Court. He is a current member of the Real Property and Litigation sections of the State Bar of California. Mr. Ring is also a Board Member of the Placer County Bar Association.  Mr. Ring is an appointed pro tem judge in Placer, El Dorado, Nevada, Sacramento and Yolo counties. His representation of El Dorado County Supervisor Sam Bradley resulted in a published opinion that helped refine the constitutional powers of the Grand Jury in the State of California.

PRACTICE AREAS:

Mr. Ring's principal area of practice is civil litigation, with an emphasis on real property transactions, easement and boundary line disputes, nondisclosure and fraud actions, landlord-tenant law (lease preparation and unlawful detainer), insurance coverage disputes and all aspects of business & contract matters.  He is also a skilled attorney at judgment collections.  Additionally, Mr. Ring represents individuals in disputes with homeowners' associations, as well as compliance disputes with subdivision CC&Rs.

COMMUNITY:

Mr. Ring is an active member of his local parent-teacher association and he holds the Chair position on his local Community Advisory Committee. He holds various positions with zoological organizations and bird clubs throughout the United States. He is Vice-President/Corporate Counsel for the American Federation of Aviculture, a worldwide organization of bird breeders and zoological organizations.  He has been a retained, expert witness for the U.S. Department of Justice.  Mr. Ring also has his own real estate brokerage (Executive Real Estate Services:  www.executiveres.com) for clients and referrals who wish to either buy or sell commercial and/or residential properties.
